Visiting Us
At Caroline Cellars we take pride in the customer experience we provide. We do things a little bit differently here – we have all of our wines available for tasting! We provide a tasting list with all of our wines, and their tasting notes, and you get to choose which wines you’d like to try based on your tastes and preferences. Of course, our staff are here to help you make your selections as well. Most of our wine tastings are offered free of charge, but there is a small selection of wines for which we do charge anominal tasting fee. We can serve a maximum of four wines to each guest.
Our wine boutique and tasting bar is open 7 days a week, year-round. We are closed on some statutory holidays (Christmas Day, New Years Day,Good Friday and Easter Sunday). We are open to the public and you do not require any type of reservation to come by for a tasting. However, if you are coming with a group of 10 or more people, we ask that you let us know in advance so that we can provide the best service for your group, and possibly accommodate a private tasting if your group is over 20 guests. We also have a FEATURE WINE program, wherein there is at least one white wine and one red wine offered at a feature price. We change our Features every couple of weeks during the summer season (June through October), and monthly during the rest of the year. Besides wine, we carry a fantastic selection of wine related giftware in our boutique – including very popular rhinestone T’s with wine phrases on them – including “Wine a Bit,You’ll Feel Better”, “Save Water, Drink Wine”, “Wines Constantly”, Vacuvin products, Gesundheit Grape Juice, Ice Syrup, and a wide selection of unique small giftware.
From May through October you can also purchase glasses of wine to enjoy on our front covered patio. Glasses of wine are $4.50 for any white or red on our list, and $3.50 for Feature Wines! Looking to have a little nibble with your glass of wine? We also have cheese and cracker platters available for purchase. These platters include domestic chevre, brie, Balderson’s cheddar and blue cheese.
